Digital Twins and Shadows for Ambient and Embodied Surgical AI
Digital twins and shadows are computational representations of the real world and complex processes therein. In this talk, I will present our recent work on, first, creating high-utility digital twins for peri-operative applications, and second, leveraging them to solve some of the most pressing challenges in surgical AI: addressing the data shortage, developing generalizable algorithms, and bringing AI into the physical world.
